Yuriy Oleksandrovych Pidan, 34 years old, call sign Rosomakha. He was born on 30 December 1988 in Dovhenke village, Kharkiv region, Izium district. He was a builder, before the full-scale invasion he had his own brigade and worked as a builder. Since 2013, he lived in Kharkiv and had a loving family and a cosy house. 

In the summer of 2022, Yurii’s house, which he and his father built together, was destroyed by the occupiers. This is what finally made him decide to join the Armed Forces. Although he was not a military man. 

He served in the 79th Air Assault Brigade, as an artilleryman. As he used to say, we are always the first. 

In January 16, 2023, he died heroically while performing a combat mission in the village of Stepne, Donetsk region.  

In July 18, 2023, the President of Ukraine awarded Yurii with the Order for Courage, 3rd Class.
